Dominic Ubamadu is Executive Vice President at the Desir Group Executive Search. He is a results oriented, customer service focused, operations minded health care executive with over 20 years of combined health care management experience in the private, public and military sectors. The breadth and depth of his experience makes him well qualified to help provide organizations with strategic direction in developing a winning recruiting and retention strategy. Dominic truly exemplifies the concept “knowledge is power.” He thrives on “knowing” and keeping abreast of industry trends which leads to empowerment and informed decision making. In his quest and preparation for challenging leadership positions, he worked in various urban and suburban healthcare positions to include; Financial Management, Nursing Administration, Long Term Care Consulting and most recently - COO of Mayfair Healthcare Services.

Prior to affiliating with the Desir Group, Dominic also served as a Senior Military Officer providing keen leadership in Human Resources, Medical Plans/Operations & Training, Contract Administration, Marketing and Public Affairs. His most recent assignments included leading the Marketing and Public Affairs functions for TRICARE (Region 2) - the Military Health Plan, as well as an International Health Specialist for Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command.

Dominic received his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Governor State University. He is an active member of the National Association of Healthcare Executives. Dominic is also a Certified Healthcare Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as a (CAMMA) credentialed member of the American Academy of Medical Administrators.

When he is away from the office, Dominic enjoys mentoring and advising up and coming healthcare leaders. He also serves on his Home Owners’ Association Board as well as on the Advisory Boards of American InterContinental University – Atlanta and Governor’s State University. Dominic is an avid runner and biker.
