Maritza Rivera-Babcock is a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience in the operation of acute care hospitals, outpatient diagnostic services and ambulatory treatment facilities. She has also worked with physicians in the creation of a Hispanic physician organization, practice management and quality improvement consulting.

Prior to joining the Desir Group Executive Search, Maritza served as a regulatory compliance leader with the General Electric Company. Maritza was recognized by GE for her efforts in conducting diversity training in six countries and leading the 2005 GE National Hispanic Leadership Forum. Maritza earned her designation as a Six-Sigma Quality leader.

Maritza received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, from Indiana University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellstadt School of Business at DePaul University. A frequent volunteer on community boards, she is the past chairperson of the Advocate Bethany Hospital Governing Council.
